We may be in the heartland of America, but we are committed to bringing global perspectives to our students in and out of the classroom. Both UNL and other study abroad providers will place students around the world in diverse and eye-opening experiences, providing relevant and direct education for the internationally inquisitive.

Students may participate in one of UNL’s education abroad programs, simply enroll in a foreign university, or participate in a language-based program.

The Intelligence Community Scholar Program requires that participants study abroad at least once in a non-English speaking country, either through the university or in some other capacity.

In recent years, National Security students have studied in Bulgaria, China, Costa Rica, England (at Oxford University), India, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Latvia, Romania, Spain, and Ukraine.
